Cancer

Integrated surgical, medical and radiation oncology under one roof.

Department Overview

A cancer diagnosis is one of the most disorienting moments in a person’s life.

You suddenly need to understand a new vocabulary, make difficult decisions quickly and trust people you may have only just met.

Medaura’s cancer department exists to make that journey clearer, calmer and more hopeful.

We bring together surgical, medical and radiation oncology in a single, coordinated programme — so the team that plans your treatment is the same team that delivers it, monitors you through it and supports you afterwards.

The department is led by senior consultants trained at Tata Memorial, AIIMS and leading international centres.

Together they have managed tens of thousands of cancers across the spectrum — breast, gastrointestinal, head and neck, gynaecological, urological, lung, lymphoma and selected paediatric tumours.

Every new diagnosis goes through a multidisciplinary tumour board where surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists and pathologists discuss your case together and agree the plan most likely to give you the best outcome with the best quality of life.

That collaborative approach is the single most important predictor of cancer survival, and it is built into every step we take.

We invest heavily in modern technology so that the right tool is always available — robotic surgery for precise resections in confined anatomy, high-end linear accelerators for IMRT, VMAT and stereotactic radiation, brachytherapy for cervical and prostate cancer, modern day-care chemotherapy units, and a fully equipped molecular pathology laboratory for next-generation sequencing and biomarker testing.

Equally, we invest in supportive care — onco-nutrition, psycho-oncology, pain management, palliative care and structured survivorship clinics — because successful cancer treatment is not just about the disease, it is about the person living with it.

Communication is at the heart of how we work.

You will know your team.

You will know what is happening, why it is being recommended, what the alternatives are and what to expect.

Every plan is documented in writing in language you can understand, and second opinions are welcomed.

Costs are estimated upfront.

Treatment is delivered with respect for your time, your family and your privacy.

Whether you are coming to Medaura for a definitive opinion, for surgery, for chemotherapy or radiation, for clinical-trial participation, or for survivorship care after treatment elsewhere, our team will walk with you through every decision and every step.
Hope, expertise and clarity — delivered together.
That is how Medaura cares for cancer.

Should I get a second opinion?

Yes — cancer decisions are major, and a second opinion confirms the plan and gives you confidence. We welcome and provide them.

We aim to see new cancer referrals within 48–72 hours and to begin definitive treatment within two to four weeks of diagnosis.

Cancer care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team. A lead consultant coordinates your journey, and you will know every team member involved in your care.
